Stretching from the far South Coast of New South Wales to East Gippsland in Victoria, is a ‘National Landscape’ identified by Tourism Australia as Australia’s Coastal Wilderness.
The National Landscapes Program is a joint initiative between Tourism Australia and Parks Australia to showcase the nature of Australia.
A ‘Landscape’ goes beyond individual National Parks or particular tourist attractions, National Landscapes are united by their unique topography, cultural significance and environmental attributes.
Only destinations with truly extraordinary attributes can become one of Australia’s National Landscapes.
“Australia’s Coastal Wilderness is a hidden pocket of Australia’s endless coastline where you can celebrate your love of nature. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of tall forests, lakes and beaches in this unspoilt coastal wilderness. It’s an opportunity to embrace something wild.”
